About Us

Persatuan Sindrom Down Kota Kinabalu (also known as Down Syndrome Association Kota Kinabalu) is a registered not-for-profit organisation in the state of Sabah, Malaysia. Our organisation is dedicated to serve the needs of families with children and adults with Down syndrome.

The idea of the formation of PSDKK was first mooted during a gathering on 12 November 2010, organised by the Malaysian Down Syndrome Association (PSDM, downsyndromemalaysia.org). Some 15 people, all families with children and adults with Down syndrome, attended the meeting.

A protem committee was formed to ensure that PSDKK was formally registered as an association with the Malaysian Registrar of Societies.

PSDKK was officially registered and approved on 5th May 2011 by the Registrar of Societies, with the registration number 2142-11-SBH. The certificate and documents were handed over to the protem secretary on 16th May 2011.
